I grew up on a dairy farm in Lincolnshire. From a young age I was very aware of the issues in the industry and what hardships farmers faced.
On completion of my A-levels at Queens Elizabeth's Grammar School in Gainsborough, I followed my passion for horses, eventually becoming a riding Instructor. I completed this freelance before training to be a teacher. After ten years of working in education, teaching from Land-Based in an agricultural college, to Sport and English in a college in inner Lincoln, I left to travel. I explored New Zealand, Australia and Vietnam; working for a time developing ISO systems for a company in Melbourne, before coming home and starting my own business.
Farm administration has always been part of my role on the farm and I wanted to take this role freelance, helping other farm businesses navigate the increasingly complex world of administration. I became a certified HR advisor and completed further training with IAGSA, the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators. Becoming an associate member, gaining my AML license and correct insurances, I launched in September 2024.
Since then I have gained clients, established a Women in Business group alongside my good friends, each with their own businesses. I have gained some wonderful clients and am excited about expanding in the future to accommodate the increasing demands of the area.
